Nose piercing tips please!

Sara • 9-5-19💙 and 💗3-4-21

Hey ladies- I just got my nose pierced yesterday.

She gave me this aftercare spray, and told me to clean it twice a day with it, and to use a tip with warm water to remove any crusties that develop as that’s just normal white blood cell healing.

When I went home and googled I’m seeing that sprays are fine but also saline baths? Like soaking the piercing as well?

Any of you who’ve had a nose piercing help a sister out. I need tips so I don’t screw this up. Lol I just want it to heal properly.

I have used dial antibacterial soap on all of my piercings and they have never gotten infected. I have over 10 different piercings.

I used salt in warm water and put it on a cotton ball and held it on my nose

The spray, the soaks are the same thing. Salt and water.Just that in spray quantities are already made. If you are to put salt in water you want not to put too much salt.I used blue wave spay. After each shower (I shower twice a day) never got any problems.Use Dove soap

If you see some stuff around the piercing use cotton bid and gently clean it but with the shower it should just clean out.

Thank you! So after you got out of shower you just used the spray inside nostril and out and called it good? Never did any soaks?

i just used that on the inside and outside of my piercing and gently pat dried it and left it alone. my nose healed well and fast. for my harder to heal piercings i used witch hazel and sea salt soaks with it

yes you just have to spray directly on there. don’t twist the jewellery or anything, just spray and sea salt soaks if it gets irritated. you’ll be fine :)

Okay I wasn’t sure if I was really getting it clean enough inside since kinda hard to reach all around with the qtip. I basically just sprayed inside and out and hoped that was good. Lol

My sister uses Bactine. I think she found it at target. I used it a few times when I had mine and didn’t mind if. I also used H2O ocean for mine. It healed pretty quickly, but baby knocked it out one day and I never put it back in lol

Bactine is what I used on all my piercings. The piercer recommended it every time.

We never did any soaks. We sprayed a good amount on a a-tip and rubbed that around the outside and then used the other side and did the same thing on the inside and made sure to twist the ring.

Did you just like drip or spray it on both sides and call it good? Or did you do any soaks?

I never used any of those type of things when I had any of my piercings done . Didn’t even use “salt water” I was told to leave them alone as much as possible and about 3 times a day turn it. And that’s it . Never had any issues and mine all healed super fast.

I always just used salt water alone with washing it in the shower. Personally Personally don't like the sprays they make you buy, it's just an extra sell for them imo

Use the spray, use a wet q-tip (I just wet it with my spray) and go around the piercing if you have to clean the crust, but don’t ever twist your piercing. I have a ring on my left side and two studs on my right side. This is the spray I have and they’ve healed fast and fine.

I don’t have the L shape or the screw, I have the flat back so I didn’t have to worry about it. If it bothers you that it’s sticking out I’d say just slowly push it back and try to avoid the twisting. Twisting would be more of the back and forth which would cause irritation.

Thank you! So I read online also not to twist, but it’s fine to turn it back if thy end of the bar starts to peek out of your nostril and you want to tuck it back in, right?
