Natural FET vs Medicated FET

Hi ladies,

I am meeting with my fertility doc next week to discuss IVF protocol, and I want to be informed about various stages of the process so that I come in with the right questions. What we know so far is we plan to do PGT with any embryos we create and will thus freeze them and do a FET afterward.

I recently learned that you can do a “natural cycle” FET or a medicated FET, or some gradations in between. Does anyone one know why you would use one over the other? Is one better than the other? I dont ovulate on my own, but I do when I take letrozole and I produce a nice thick uterine lining and after I ovulate my progesterone levels are always quite high (like 20+). Does that mean I could possibly do a FET after just using letrozole to ovulate, rather than doing estrogen/ progesterone injections?

I know the doctor will make the final call for me, but I would like to know others experiences so I can ask more detailed questions during my appt. Thank you!!
