Bloody discharge continues 2 weeks after period??

Hi so 2 weeks ago I had my period and it ended like normal. I had reddish brown bloody discharge the week after which is normal but then it continued. Sometimes it’s brownish black and sometimes it’s bright red. I am expected to start my next period in a week and I’m just confused why my discharge is still bloody. EVERYTIME I go to the bathroom and wipe there is blood. Not sure what it means or what’s going on. Is it normal? Should I be worried?

I have experienced the same, I am on birth control and have been for over 8 months now. I had my period like normal with the pills and it ended, then three days later I started bleeding again and haven’t stopped for 9 days straight now. It’s on and off in spurts with black/red or brown. Should I be worried?
