Keytones in urine

Has anyone else been told they have a high level of keytones in their urine and have a doctor tell them they need an IV? I’m 10 weeks and have had hyperemisis gravidurum with my other two kids and had IV fluids but never been told about the keytones before

I'm diabetic, so yes I have had ketones in my urine that I got fluids for but not in my pregnancy since my blood sugar has been low. Ketones are a byproduct of fat tissue breaking down.

I'm type 1 not gestational, and I havent had any problems with food this far into the pregnancy (I'm 14+2, and that could change any time). You would have to talk to your doctor about diet if you end up with GD, because that diet doesn't work for me personally. I do know that for GD staying away from processed sugars (sweets, ice cream, etc.) Is best but it's not all about straight sugar. If you wanted to do something now just in case if recommend cutting the processed sugars but likely it won't do too much damage (if any) to wait until you get a diagnosis.

Is there certain foods that are better for you with this and I’m wondering if this is the start of gestational diabeties?
