Anyone’s birth story kinda the same as their moms?

I’m just curious if maybe delivering a little earlier or later could run in the family? I’ve read a few different things on it. My mom had me a little over 38 weeks. Any stories of similar experiences between mother and daughter appreciated 🙂

My second and third (both very similar) were pretty similar to my mums second.. Basically once waters broke baby came within half an hour to an hour. I was induced with my 2nd and once they broke my waters they wanted to start medication straight away but I asked to wait and see and sure enough baby came hard and fast like my Mum always said 😅 different gestational age and way different weights but the labor itself fast like my mums.

I have found that everyone is unique in their pregnancy and delivery.

My mom had all her babies by 36 weeks. I thought I’d have a early baby but my first came at 41. I’m expecting this one to marinate for awhile also.

Yes and no. First birth nothing like hers. Second pregnancy with a boy yes. My sister son came late, my mother’s son came late and so my son is late too. Must be a boy thing. She had c sections tho and we had vaginal delivery.

My mum, Aunty and my nana got preeclampsia with their first at 37 weeks and was induced.
Preeclampsia is hereditary 
I am now 39+4 weeks and no preeclampsia and no baby

Mine was very similar to my moms. She was 4 days past due date w me started dilating a little on her own she went to the hospital and started pitocin and my heart rate dropped so they did an emergency C. My first child I was 4 days past due dilated on my own slightly and then went to hospital got out on pitocin but my baby was a regular vaginal birth. Even our weights were similar. I was 8.0 and my first child was 8.8.

My first birth was NOTHING like my mother’s. Neither of my pregnancies have been even remotely similar to hers, or really any of the women on her side of the family. I don’t know anything about my dads side of the family but 🤷🏼‍♀️
