Blocked ducts help?

Question

I have pain when I press on my left boob. Assuming I've got a blocked duct. Been trying to apply warm compress and massage and let baby breastfeed but just wondering what you ladies did to help?

Do you own a haakaa? You can try filling it about half way w/ hot water and add a little bit of epsom salt! It’s supposed to help draw out the plugged ducts. I had one and I just avoided breastfeeding on that side for about two days. I pumped and did a lot of warm compresses, I didn’t end up having to try the haakaa trick but I’ve heard many good things!

I had this a couple of times with my second baby. I would do what you are plus I would pump some as well if he wasn't eating enough on that side till it got better. If it last for more than a few days go see your doctor I actually thought mine was mastitis because of how I felt and it just wouldn't go away even with all I was doing. I actually ran a fever so my doctor prescribed an antibiotic for me.

My go to with clogged ducts is dangle feeding or pumping. Those usually resolve the clogged quickly.

The only thing that’s ever helped mine is the baby. Try epsom salt in the haaka or sunflower lechtin.
