Is pole dancing and yoga at home difficult?

I’m thinking of investing in a removable pole and putting it in my bedroom. I would like to start pole dancing and yoga to get into shape. Is it hard to learn at home by dvd, YouTube or is it something you definitely need to go in person for?

I do yoga at home. When I was first learning, I did yoga with adriene videos. They are basic and she explains the poses well. After doing her series for a year or so, I found other teachers that give less instruction that I preferred since I had the basics down.

Pole is hard, you also risk injury way more with pole. Yoga is pretty simple and doesn’t require in person education.

Pole is hard without in person instruction and some portable poles are not well built or have difficult installations.
