Are pregnancy tests tax deductible?

I just saw in a Facebook group that pregnancy tests and anything medical or used for fertility is able to be written off on your taxes. Is this true?!? I’ve never heard this! I just had surgery to remove a uterine septum and look for endometriosis, can we write it off next year?!

Anything medical can be but for the average person it is not worth deduction.

There’s a threshold value out of pocket you have to hit for it to make any sort of impact. According to the IRS’s site, that’s 7.5% of your AGI. I’m not sure pregnancy tests count? Medical procedures may qualify. I’m assuming it’s along the lines of things that a FSA would cover. You can check the list on their site, as well.  It’s pretty detailed!
