My little boy is hereš
Heās here!!! Positive induction story
I was induced @ 40+3 gave birth the next afternoon. We arrived at the hospital @5pm started cervadil @ 7:40 and left it in for 12hrs and I had progressed only to a 2cm and 60 effaced. I had got stradol for the pain and I was HIGH š so I got to sleep some but had to stay on my side because they kept loosing his heart rate since my belly is so round the monitor would slide away. They started me on pitocin around 10am and things moved FAST. Funny because I was whole heartedly against getting it again but in less than 2 hours I was 7cm and in 3 hours I was a 10cm. I rushed to get my epidural around 6-7cm because the pain from contractions made me shake uncontrollably. My ob had to perform a c section so I didnāt see her until afternoon and had to keep from pushing for a looooong time. Thankfully I had the epidural because whenever I felt the pressure and an urge to push I hit the medication button. My ob finally showed up, broke my water and we did 3 āpractice pushesā during that his head was almost completely out so They set the room up and 5 pushes later he was out with no tearing @3:44pm Elijah came into the world. 7lbs 10oz and 21 inches. š
I was definitely up and moving much sooner than my first birth but side note still bring your own stuff to the hospital. They only gave me ONE ice pad, no pain spray and ONE mesh panty so Iām glad I packed my own stuff as well. Also breathing techniques helped me a ton before I got meds and focus when you push for more efficient pushes.
