Can teething make baby more tired?

My baby’s currently teething and his wake windows went down to 1.5h so we’re having 3-4 naps again (he had 3h wake window and 2 naps) he’s not in pain just fussy during the day. 
Edit, he generally sleeps well at night.

That’s exactly what I am experiencing right now too, poor baby has 4 teeth coming in right now. He has been sleeping overall very well at night but we now have to do 3 naps during the day even though he’s been on a 2 nap schedule for over a month now.
