I had a lap for excision of endometriosis just under 6 weeks ago and am currently due to start my second period since. My surgeon did warn me that ovulation and periods would be more painful until I’ve fully healed, he recommended prostap or prog only pill but I didn’t take either as tend to be sensitive to hormones and get bad side effects.

My first period was very very painful and second doesn’t look like it will be much better - this isn’t too much of a problem as it’s soo much better than the 24/7 pain I was in before. But basically I was wondering whether anyone knows whether a laparoscopy and excision surgery can throw your hormones out of whack as well?

Ive had severe nausea, sore boobs and headaches for the past week (period due Tuesday), which is different to usual so at first I thought I might be pregnant but I’m now having severe cramps as well and have had lots of negative tests so I guess not! I did have one polycystic ovary and the cysts were drained during surgery - could this have made my hormones crazy? Just really hoping this is temporary!!!
