How to spell son Bowen's nickname

My son's name is Bowen and we sometimes call him Bo/Bow for short but we can't agree on how to spell it. We don't want Beau. We originally were spelling it Bo but my mom is making us think twice because she pointed out that the spelling is B.O. (body odor) and now I can't see anything other than that. But I'm worried that Bow might be too girly?
