Dentist for baby?

At how many months should you take your baby to a dentist for a routine check up?  My baby is 8 months old and I haven’t set him up with one yet. Am I late? Or should I wait?

At 1 year old. Another of teeth are usually present. They get their teeth brushed by the dentist. And also give pointers of tooth paste amount, frequency, cavity prevention. It's a quick visit

Our pediatrician said around age 2. Due to COVID risks, she has extended that to age 3 as long as his teeth are coming in ok and we’re brushing regularly.

Our pediatrician and the ped dentist both said 1st few teeth or a year. Our daughter had her first teeth come in about a year so both worked for us. The don't check for much. Lok at the gums and pallet. Any teeth that have come in they will check spacing between teeth and talk to you about your options for fluoride if you choose. Mainly just to get them used to the dentist and let's them learn it isn't a scary place.
