So my boyfriend is a Japanese and Mexican and we’ve been dating for two years. My mom’s friend has made racist comments about him before like “oh he’s Asian? That’s interesting.” And I said back “you got a problem with that?” And she said “no I don’t” but clearly she did. I never wanted to tell him cause I’m scared to and especially with what is going on with Asian hate crimes right now and I don’t want to scare him. I’m not sure what to do. Should I just not have him meet her overall?
