Is this a lip tie?

My baby boy is 8 weeks old. I breastfed my daughter for 2 years & it was so sweet & easy. It’s been different with my baby boy because he always gets choked & was throwing up kind of often. He hasn’t been throwing up because I pull him away every few seconds. But he still gets choked up almost every feeding & it scares me I hate it. 
He makes a clicking sound while nursing too. I was told once he figures it out he should have a better latch. I just don’t think that’s correct. 
I will say that he’s been gaining weigh wonderfully he’s actually a chubby little thing. He nurses very often though way more than what my daughter did. 
I noticed he may have a lip tie today. 
Could this be causing the problem? 
If this is a lip tie should I get it fixed?

Mobility looks good to me. If baby is able to make and maintain good “fish” lips with the upper lip it probably means there isn’t a mobility issue from the tie. However we can’t evaluate ties (not a professional and should be in person). 
If he is gaining weight and you are not in pain I would trend carefully on getting a lip or tongue tie revised. 
However, at 8 weeks and still having some issues with choking/gagging on milk when nursing I would reach out to a lactation consultant for evaluation of latch and possibly a tongue and/or lip tie. 
Lots of people are tied and have had no speech or eating problems.

I think it could be and they are often paired with a tongue tie. The tongue could contribute to the clicking, choking and spitting. I would say it's worth looking into. I had all of those signs with my 1st and it was due to a tongue tie.

I have been reading becoming babywise and they say the clicking is from sucking his own tongue. Use a clean finger to break latch and relatch. He’s probably getting choked from a strong letdown! My kiddo is the same way! I elevate him and its a little better.

The gums are blanching as you pull on it which suggests more tethering than their should be, so I’d get it assessed.
