Whose responsibility do you think is buying condoms (long term relationship)?

Hi, 
I am just curious about different opinions.
A little bit of backstory. My boyfriend thinks it should be his responsibility, but is also slightly embarrassed when he is buying condoms, so he sometimes postpones it. I don't have a problem with making this kind of purchase. I don't even think it is solely his responsibility, i think it is shared.
I would definitely rather buy condoms, than go without sex. ☺️
P.s.: don't know if it is relevant. I can not use hormonal contraception at the moment. And we are not ready for the baby.

Long term? No one. I mean condoms are a short term solution, long term you should probably get on a birth control plan (there are many options available). Both of you should get checked for STDs. Once you both trust eachother (in terms of the other won't cheat), condoms are no longer needed in a relationship. But that's my personal opinion. 
Check for STDs, and use condoms only at the beggining of relationships. Then you should probably switch to a different method.
1 -  condoms are really expensive in the long run
2 - condoms are not always safe (they can rip, tear, or break)
3 - condoms are not always there, therefore unreliable (and you might think it's safe if it's a one time thing, which is not)
4 - condoms are only best at preventing std's which if you are in a long term relationships shouldn't be a problem
