Advice needed

Sarah

I found out I was pregnant last Wednesday with a home pregnancy test (clearblue). This is my first pregnancy, I’m only 20 and it wasn’t planned. My first thought was to contact my gp and ask for advice. He said they don’t deal with pregnant women and I have to go straight through the maternity ward at the hospital. So I contacted them, they said due to Covid I need to fill out a form online and they will get in touch with what to do next. Come Saturday night, I passed about a tablespoon of pink tissue when I went to the toilet. That night I was sweating, nauseas, dizzy, had extremely bad cramps. Naturally I assumed this was a miscarriage, so I rang the maternity ward the next day. They said they can’t see me until 12 weeks. I rang the gp they said fill out an online form and we will get back to you (haven’t heard anything yet). I haven’t had any discharge, pain, or bleeding since I passed that clot. Did I miscarry and is it all done now? Is it normal to not receive advice until 12 weeks? Has anyone experienced similar and should I be worried?
