Brown bleeding mean miscarriage??

I have had brown spotting for almost a week now since my husband and I had sex. My doctor says it’s normal but I’m really concerned because it hasn’t stopped. It’s lasting so long and it’s there every time I wipe and a little bit on a panty liner. Has anyone had a miscarriage with only brown bleeding or does it always turn into heavy red bleeding??

Go see your doctor before jumping to a miscarriage because you don’t know for sure if your having one. And until you talk to your doctor you shouldn’t be jumping to the worse case scenario

I had brown spotting at the beginning of my pregnancy for a few weeks, it was hormonal and went away on its own. Sometimes hormones be like that.
I'm 39.5 wk pregnant now

Brown spotting is old blood, and is almost definitely not a miscarriage. You should still see a doctor though.

I've had brown spotting off and on since I was 5+5. Called my obgyn because I have had 4 miscarriages with my last being a ectopic. She got me in quickly and told me as long as its brown with no cramping I was fine,but if it became bright red with cramps to go to the hospital.  I ended up going to the hospital last Saturday night because I started gushing bright red. Turns out the brown spotting was because I have a subchorionic hemorrhage. The baby is fine, it can be super scary but it doesn't always mean you will miscarry

I had zero cramping or pain, brown discharge for 4 days then it completely stopped, I lost the baby. Had to have a d &c because my body wasn’t passing it on its own.

I would definitely ask for an ultrasound. How far along are you? Spotting in early pregnancy is common but it can mean many different things and would have to be ruled out by investigating. Your OB should have you come in. I’m 13 weeks currently and in the very beginning my OB said if I have any spotting to call immediately. 
I had a small amount of brown spotting with my third child when I had a Pap smear at 10 weeks. It was due to my cervix being irritated. It was no biggie and she’s 2 now. So I wouldn’t worry, but I would push for them to see you. I hope all works out. Sorry this is so long!
