Anyone’s partner take Dutasteride?

My husband has recently confided in me that he feels insecure about some hair thinning he has noticed over the years. Today he saw a doctor who prescribed him Dutasteride. He plans to start taking it immediately. I am concerned about some of the side effects listed on the medication including birth defects if a female even touches one of the pills, and also an increased risk of high grade prostrate cancer. I would love to talk to anyone whose partner/husband is taking this—especially if they have had a pregnancy while the medication is being consumed by the partner/spouse.
