I had an appointment at 2 pm for my check up and asked if she could sweep my membranes. She felt that I was nearly 3cm dilated and stripped my membranes really well. I went home, went for a walk and got pretty strong Braxton Hicks during that walk. Once I was cooking diner they came regular and stronger. Once I finished diner at 7 I started timing them because they really started to hurt me. After that hour I called my midwife and told her I had what I think were contractions every 3-5 minutes.

She told me to come to the hospital where she checked me. I was 4 cm dilated🥳 we got the birth pool ready in our labor room where I labored for one hour. After that hour she checked me and told me I was 5cm dilated. She asked me if I wanted her to break my waters and I agreed to that. At 10 pm she broke my waters, I went back into the pool where my contractions started coming back to back super strong. After 45 minutes I told her I couldn’t handle this anymore and felt the urge to push. She told me I could push if I wanted to, and low and behold after 4-5 pushes our baby girl was born at 23:07 o’clock. ❤️

My whole labor was only 4 hours, super intense but so worth it. Maya is doing great and so am I. Already out and about on walks again and feeling awesome.
