My daughter just turned 11 and I believe she is about to start her period. I want to make her a period box when she does start. What all should I put in it other than pads?

You could add some new underwear,  some candy, popcorn and a movie for her to relax and watch. Meds for cramps. A heating pad. Maybe a book if she likes to read. A cute new water bottle for her to stay extra hydrated. I also added some black pants and a set of sheets and blanket for my daughter in case of over night accidents so she didn't ruin her bed set.

All I wanted when I started was ibuprofen and to go to bed lol... so maybe a nice fluffy new blanket if she likes them. I second the period panties idea too. I use them now and they would’ve been great when I was a pre-teen figuring out how long I could go between pad or tampon changes.

I just got some Thinx underwear and they’ve been working out pretty well for me. They have a teen line too called Thinx BTWN. They’re a little pricey, but my FSA covered mine so if you have that you could go that route to get her some. I know they would’ve been a lifesaver for me as a young teen. You could also get her some sleep shorts from the regular (adult) Thinx line. When I was young, nighttime was my biggest period struggle in terms of keeping everything clean.
