input needed: boyfriend problems !!!

my boyfriend and i havent been able to make time to see each other as we’re both back home from university and live quite far. the issue i’m having is that we don’t talk at all. we’ve been dating for almost 8 months and have accepted the fact that he’s not the best texter. he won’t reply for hours but be active on snapchat (my bad for creeping). or when i share a part of my day he’ll just give one worded responses. it’s annoying because he’s aware he’s dry and always feels bad about it. we’ve started facetime instead and he’s still so dry not really acting like he cares what i have to say, and the calls will be 10 minutes long because he gets “tired”. if we’re going to be long distance i would appreciate more effort in trying to communicate with me. my friends gasped yesterday when they looked at our imessage chat and they stated how it seems like im more interested than he is. it’s not like this in person, we have so much fun together. but when we’re apart, i totally forget about him! he does care about me, he does take time out of his day to send a second text when i’m not replying. it’s really sad and i’m not needy i don’t need to be his #1 priority, but it would be nice for him to show a little interest:( i don’t even know how to bring it up because he knows he’s like this. it’s just driving me nuts!!
