Help? Bank account?

Please no judgement. What’s the process for opening a bank accounts? Is it easy ? Are there strings attached?

The last time I went thru the process with my current bank was at 18. My mom helped me out I didn’t know shit. Although she ended up being part of it. So I guess it’s a joint account? I was young I didn’t know what they were saying. I signed papers and that was that.

I’ve been wanting to open an account separate from her that I can start adding money to. Maybe chase or Wells Fargo?

I already have Bank of America and Golden One. The Bank of America was opened when I was like 12. I don’t use that card
