Toddler not wanting to be in his High chair or wanting to eat anything but yogurt?

Hello moms! What advice can you give a new mom like me having a hard time to put my toddler “16 month old” in his high chair? Also, my toddler recently hasn’t been wanting to eat anything but mainly yogurt. I’am feeling sad and frustrated because I want him to get enough nutrition. It’s hard when I don’t have any mom friends either to ask any questions.

Offer something with the yogurt. Then eventually only offer than item after you know he’ll eat it & stop offering the yogurt. Don’t make a big deal about whether he eats it or not. It’s all about exposure to new foods.

I know it’s super hard! Check out FeedingLittles on Instagram they’re wonderful for helping with things like this! At this age you can’t really expect them to sit for long periods of time in the high chair so that’s pretty normal. You can start offering foods with the yogurt. Don’t make a big deal out of it or bring attention to it just put another item on the plate with it. If he doesn’t eat it it’s okay but when you serve him just keep offering. It’s all about exposure! It may be a sensory thing for him as well since yogurt is close to purée texture.

Start with bland foods pasta with a touch of salt, boiled chicken (salt) , boiled potatoes (salt), boiled carrots cut into small circles) boiled eggs, let Toddler help cut food (toy utensil) . MKe it fun  little bit at a time any achievement is good no matter how small. Don't force it
