It's normal for there not to be a baby it's still very really you won't see anything in an ultrasound until after 7-12 weeks that's why I'm most places they won't schedule any ultrasounds until around 8-12 weeks.

You’re never going to see the baby on a scan at 4 weeks pregnant.

At 6 weeks you should go back.  They will be able to detect the fetal pole then.
