Do you think pregnancy is gross?

Why am I annoyed at a family member saying pregnancy is gross? Like obviously there are symptoms that are gross but I just think it’s natural for the body?

My 16 year old SIL said it’s gross, if they haven’t been through it it can seem quite alien to a lot , even to older women . 
It’s just someone’s opinion which they are entitled too , it doesn’t hurt you just get on with your day

I've been pregnant 4 times and I can say for sure that I think pregnancy is definitely gross. Lol. Nothing beautiful about puking, heartburn, excess discharge, feeling like a whale, etc.

To me pregnancy is really beautiful despite all of its grotesque changes in a woman's body, body fluids, symptoms and aches it usually comes with. In my opinion being able to create a human being is wonderful and in all of its complexity a perfect example how strong women and their bodies are. To me giving birth is also an example of how well designed the human body is. 🤩
I think one thing that must affect how people view pregnancy and birth is how we live in an industrial society often with a lack of connection to nature. How media portrays pregnancy and giving birth, as well as the medicalisation of both pregnancy and giving birth must affect how we see pregnancy nowadays. 🤔

mine hasn’t been gross personally since i haven’t had many symptoms, i never had morning sickness or anything like that. my only symptom has been clear skin, so i don’t think so but my labor will probably be gross 🤭

I think pregnancy is gross. As for yer family member they shouldn't be telling its gross everytime they see you. That would annoy me too.

I think its a gross and strange process however i would never say that to another birthing parent. I say it about myself all the time but have the decency to keep it to myself

Pregnancy is gross. The vomiting, excess discharge, I can’t brush my teeth without throwing up, some women have a symptom where no matter how much they wash their armpits it’ll smell like onions, and so much more. I wouldn’t be annoyed and of course other people will have different opinions and never want to be pregnant cause let’s face it isn’t pretty or all sunshine and rainbows 🤷🏽‍♀️

When I was younger I thought the same thing and I even hated the word pregnant. I could vomit.
It's a maturity thing if you ask me. Not all people think it's beautiful lol. The process of giving birth is definitely not the prettiest sight so you never know what one thinks of it when they think  of pregnancy.
