We transferred a PGS normal embryo that split but the second one never developed and all we ever saw was a empty sac, so I’m assuming this was a blighted ovum? One of my MRM doctors said if it was a genetic issue then they both would have stopped developing- I am currently 27 weeks and all scans and tests have been fine. But another doctor said that it could have been a genetic issue and nature just took its course- which obviously scares me because why didn’t the other not develop if they were identical and shared the same DNA. Has anyone experienced this and what has your doctor said?
