Low Placenta?

Question

Went into my specialist for an ultrasound (I have uterus didelphys so they are watching my pregnancy because I’m a high risk to miscarriage and or Pre term labor.) The dr found that my placenta is close to my cervix. Dr also said by 20 weeks if the placenta is covering the cervix (Placenta previa) I will have to have a c-section. I’m 16 weeks now, Has anyone had a low placenta but as time progressed it moved? I’m nervous, I really don’t want to have a c-section.

We are going through this now as well 😞 I am 14+4 we got diagnosed early because I had unexplained bleeding at 12 weeks. I am currently on pelvic rest and probably will be for awhile. Our OB said 90% of the time it moves and you can still have a regular vaginal delivery.

I found out mine is low at my 16 weeks scan. They will check again at 20 weeks. He said not to worry because there is plenty of time for it to move.
I have early cholestasis and also high risk as well.

What I’ve heard from people with placenta previa is that they check again at like 35-37 weeks to see if it’s moved. It usually does.

They told me that it was low lying at 14 weeks & when I went in at 16 weeks my doc said it should move . I see alot of stories where even at 32 weeks the placenta will still move .

I had placenta previa with my last baby. I started bleeding at 33 weeks and was put on modified bed rest. No sex, no lifting more than 15lbs, no vacuuming, no long walks, no exercise. I had 3 ultrasounds and an MRI to check to see if it was moving up or not. It didn't. I had the c-section. A healthy baby and mommy is what is most important. I'm pregnant with #3 now and a good candidate for vbac if I want
