Hsv1 potential?

Accidentally kissed my boyfriend while he had an hsv1 outbreak.
I didn’t make actual contact with the cold sore, but I know the chance is still there.
I also know it’s very common and am not freaking out that bad.
How long after potential contact until I potentially see a cold sore or know if I have hsv1 myself?

It's hard to say. There really isn't a time frame. Even if you were infected, hsv can remain dormant. It's possible to have the virus and never have a flare or have frequent flares.

I dare say you have contracted it...but may not get sores immediately.

Also never give oral when you have a cold sore because then you’ll have genital herpes!
