Is there a way to control where pregnancy weight goes?

I am already about 10 lbs overweight. I’m almost 4 weeks pregnant and I am so nervous about how heavy I am going to get. Is there a way to control where the weight goes ( like I really just want a belly and that’s it) my legs are already thick to begin with. I just want a cute baby belly bump but I know some women gain weight everywhere, especially shorter women like myself! Helpppp

Dont give in to every craving watch what you eat, smaller meal plus snacks. But your body is gunna do what its gunna do.

Nope. Make sure you’re eating healthy and the right amount of calories as that will help you not gain more weight than you need, but there’s no way to control where it goes or in the end how much you’ll gain. If you were already 10 pounds over, then you may only need to gain 15-20 pounds. Honestly though every woman carries differently. My weight all went to my belly until the end when I got super swollen and bloated in my fingers, face, and a bit in my legs. I was eating healthy and not too much - if anything less than normal - and I put on 40 pounds. My doctor started to make comments at the end (but honestly I didn’t have the bay experience with her) and was like “what can we do? It’s not like we’re going to put you on a diet for the last month” even though I was an athlete and yoga instructor before getting pregnant and that’s pretty much how I eat already lol. So I got kind of upset that she essentially was saying I gained that much weight bc of a poor diet or something. Really though your body gains however much it needs for the baby - so I gained 40 and my baby was born healthy and average size at 7.3 pounds, and 8 weeks later almost all the weight is gone - I’m up 5 pounds but not worried about it. 
Some girls feel like they’re “glowing” while pregnant , the weight all goes exactly where they want, they feel great, others feel like a whale - that’s how I felt even though it did go to my belly. There’s no way to control it though

Nope all genetics and we just have to deal lol. When I gain weight all of it goes to my upper thighs and upper arms. Doesn't matter what kind of weight it is where I gain.

I’m short and when pregnant I gained weight literally everywhere. I still had a cute baby bump though. I only gained 20 pounds but it looked like I gained 50. You just have to own being short and pregnant.

If you’re like me and love carbs, you can eat lots of food with protein and lower the carb intake. You can cut back on sugars and drink nothing but water. Taking short walks helped me after eating. Eat lots of green veggies. The secret is portion control.

You can't control where it does but u can control how much you gain... If u have a craving wait 1-2 days usually u will forget about it, if i still have it then go get it. This is what i did also i did went to a dietitian because the doc who does the major scans told me that up to 5 months i should gain 1kg i had gained 3 and because i know me i knew i would stop eating because of his comment and i went to the dietitian for a healthy guide to maintain my weight or even lose some, he knew i was pregnant he did not restrict anything he just made me a healthy eating plan amd i gained only 7kg my whole 40 weeks of pregnancy.

Nope I wish I gain mine in my hips and arms when pregnant. But I will say I’ve been extra careful this pregnancy, eating really healthy
