Pack n play/Crib

Does anyone use a pack n play instead of a crib? I’ll be having my 2nd baby in September and I’ve been contemplating about getting a crib for her or just using a playpen instead. I have the Monobebe Flex Playard and I’ve also seen others use a pack n play mattress in other brands of playards, so I’ve been thinking about possibly getting one if I do choose to use it, but I’m not too sure as I wanna be as safe as possible and I’m not sure which mattress would best fit in it. Have any other mommas done this? Does anyone else have this specific playard and use a mattress in it, if so which mattress do you use ? 🤔
