Would y’all be offended ? My boyfriend bought his first home and asked me and my daughter if we wanted to move in.... I said yes but he wants me to sign like a contract or a lease ? I’m not sure why. It doesn’t make sense to me. Is this a red flag would any of you be upset over this ?

Some back story the last time he lived with a woman, he had an apartment with his ex fiancé and she cheated on him with his best friend. So idk if the contract has anything to do with that but idk it hurts my feelings that he wants a lease or a contract. It makes me feel like I’m signing a prenup before getting married. Am I wrong ?

For context : I currently live on my own paying my own bills and haven’t lived with my parents since I was 16. Also he stated the lease isn’t to protect me it’s to remove my right to a reasonable eviction if anything goes wrong. We’re not signing a lease on a home he’s renting, he owns the home and is writing a contract that if something goes awry he can just curb me. I’m fully aware how leases works so excuse me if this whole situation smells funny to me. I dont plan for anything to go wrong becayseid never do wrong by him and I’m fully capable of pulling my weight in bills. It’s the principle of why for me. Doesn’t make sense.
