Do some tattoo artist include tip on the price?

Not speaking from experience. I don’t have tattoos nor done any consultations. I was listening to someone talk. They weren’t aware that tipping was necessary. I only know to tip because I’ve seen posts. I know I’ve seen some tik toks from artist saying they don’t need tips because they already get paid good etc. Not trying to start arguments. Genuinely curious

No, it’s not included in the price. Most artists rely heavily on tips. I tip very well and my artist does right by me. My last tattoo was nearly 4 hours and he only charged me for 2. I then “won” a free hour from them on Facebook for my next session which I know I won’t pay full price for. When you tip nearly 40% they bend over backwards for you. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hi, tattoo artists don't include tip in the  overall price. The tipping amount depends on you, were you satisfied with the work??? I usually tip the hourly rate that they charge. So if they charge $225 for 1 hour and im doing an 8 hour session, that's what I tip, $225. As it is, I'm paying almost 2k for 8 hours and I book for a follow up session, so I leave a tip plus a deposit.

Most artists don’t include it. If I’m going to a new tattoo artist, like a walk in, I usually tip 20%. If I’m going to my regular tattoo artist, I always go over 20%.
