He’s unsure

So I met this guy, he asked me out and then after that he told me “text me when you’re home”. We went out for a couple of times he always take care of me by being gentlemen he keeps me safe. We even hold hands and I kissed him on the cheek he wasn’t complaining. But when my friends asked him if he liked me he said “no”. We never talked about it after but he told me he find it hard to get into relationships because his standards was so high. What should I do? Why is he like that?
