When should my baby wear a size 4 shoe?

Hello! My daughter is 14 months old and still fits in a size 2 shoe. I’d like to get her some boots while they are on sale, but she won’t need them for another 4 months so I’m not sure if I should get her a size 4 now, or even a 3? I didn’t know if anyone else’s daughter or son had small feet and could help me out 🥰

Reading all these comments now realizing my kid has huge feet, lol. She’s 2.5 and is a 7 or 8 depending on brand. 
I wouldn’t buy a shoe until we need it. As tempting as it is, you end up with shoes that don’t fit or inappropriate for weather by the time they do.

When in doubt, size up. At least they will fit eventually.

My son has fat feet omg😅 he’s 2 and wearing a size 8. 
It’s kind of hard to plan in advance because their feet can grow like crazy. I’d say go up a couple sizes to be safe, assuming they’re winter boots she will probably wear thick socks too

I know you want to save money but I'd recommend not buying to far in advanced. You just never know how fast or slow there going to grow. 
My daughter is 2.5yrs and in a 4.5.
At 1 Year old she was in a size 2.5 then after 6 months went to a size 3 then within 2 month's shot up to a size 4.

My 18mo wheres a 6/6.5 so who knows! I usually buy a half or full size bigger if I'm buying in advance since they seem to grow so fast.

I definitely wouldn't be buying shoes in advance, you'll need to measure to get the correct size and who knows how fast or slow their feet will grow.

I buy her shoes as she needs them. My daughter’s feet grew “normally” every few months for a while and then plateaued. She’s 4.5 yo and is finally in a size 8.

There isn’t a set age for shoes size. You just have to try them on and see what fits. When they first learning to walk I read it’s recommended to buy them something that fits perfectly and doesn’t have extra room because if it doesn’t fit properly it can cause them to trip more.
