Spectra S1 or Medela?

Hi there!  With my first child I used the Medela, so I have all the accessories and parts.  My insurance will cover either one this time.  My friend switched and keeps telling me the spectra is so much better.  Has anyone used both? Is it worth it?

I’ve used both. The Spectra was more comfortable and more productive than the Medela. If you liked your Medela, then you can stick with it. I just preferred the Spectra overall.

I used the medela with my first two and got the spectra with my second. Their performance is pretty close and both are great pumps. The spectra is a little fancier, lighter and much quieter. Medela is a dependable machine.

I used both and hate both…. I used the pink, blue and the small spectra s9… I used 2 different medelas and I don’t like them. 
I prefer Lasinoh and baby Buddha.

The medela freestyle flex almost dried up my supply. I was using the spectra and went from pumping 3-4 oz to 1-2 oz with the medela. I switched back and now I’m pumping 4-6 oz again thankfully it wasn’t too late!! The medela symphony worked fabulous but you can only rent those from hospitals  or LC and they’re pretty pricy and not worth it unless your supply is too low.
