Advice on belly button ring during pregnancy?

Hi ladies,
I’ve had my belly button pierced for around 15 years now. I’ve just found out I’m pregnant - is it best to remove the belly button piercing now? I don’t particularly mind the piercing closing up, but worried it might look even worse when my stomach is stretched and after the birth.

Mine had already closed years prior to being pregnant for the first time. So idk if it being fresh will make a difference or not. Of course it looks more stretched when you’re pregnant, but in my case it went back to normal postpartum.

I didn’t take mine out untill 32 weeks but I also didn’t show untill pretty late and my belly button never poked out

I took mine out and still looks super weird/sad now lol it didn't close up tho, but it's pretty saggy if i put any jewelry in it lol

It shouldn’t close up.  I only had mine pierced maybe 10 months the first time I got pregnant.  I took it out around 9 weeks because it was irritating me.  I never put it back in before getting pregnant again so it was out like a total of 3 years and still could put it back in (just had to lubricate it to stretch it again).  
You don’t want to leave it in because the stretched skin will force the piercing to migrate and make it shallow and cruddy looking after pregnancy.  Even the maternity bars will do that.
Don’t be surprised if you get a stretch mark over it as it’s scar tissue in the fistula that isn’t very elastic.  It’s the only spot that I have a stretch mark

I left mine in the entire time but once I reached about month 7 I put in a bio flex belly button ring that way it wouldn’t close. It stretches regardless but I still put a regular back in after my son was born. He’s 8 now and I still wear one every day. I’m pregnant with my 2nd now so I guess we will see how long I can go without one

I took mine out to prevent damage, I gained 70 pounds with him! And two years later it is still open! I had too and bottom pierced and neither closed!
