Methotrexate ectopic pregnancy

I had an

IUI

on April 14 and yesterday found out I was having an ectopic pregnancy. I am 5w+6d. I went in today to see if my levels were dropping but they didn’t. I had my methotrexate shot today. I’ve had some mild cramps and more spotting, which I was having before the shot.

If you have had methotrexate for an ectopic pregnancy did you take time out of work? Did side effects get worse days after the shot?

I’m praying my hcg drops and I don’t need surgery/ my tube doesn’t rupture.

My hcg was 1112 Saturday 1048 Tuesday and 1284 Wednesday, today. Before that it was double every 48 hours. I am hoping they decrease when I go back in a few days. Ugh this process is so hard. And I’m so sad we have to wait three months before we can possibly try again.
