How many of you were taught about the Gaza Strip in school? Why do you think the news outlets don’t consider this breaking news but Ellen quitting her t.v show is?

There are protests going on today regarding Palestine and the violence that is going on. They are getting forced out of their homes by armed military so that Jewish settlers can move in. The kids are taken and used as shields so that nobody attacks the vehicles. A coworker of mine has family in Palestine and the next town over just got bombed. She was telling us today about the injustice that goes on on a daily basis.

I remember learning about this in school but never learning what we can do to help or how our government could help.

I was surprised to learn that a lot of my coworkers had no idea that the Gaza Strip existed.
