So I had my checkup on Monday (I’m 36 weeks pregnant) and the doc said I’m 1,5cm dilated, he didn’t say anything about effacement; however he said my cervix is open, he could feel his head and he gives me 5-10 days and I won’t make it to my induction at 39 weeks (induction=personal choice).

I don’t know how he knows for sure.

I’ve been having constant painful contractions since last week, waking me up at night and making me struggle throughout the day. During my NST (non stress test) last week I had contractions every 3 minutes within a 2 hour time period. But didn’t continue to dilate.

What’s your guys opinion? This is my first pregnancy and I know you can be dilated for weeks. I really am suffering with these contractions but I’d like to keep him in there longer.
