Is it ok for a toddler boy to play with a baby doll?
This may not even be controversial enough for this specific group, but I may be surprised.
So I am pregnant with baby number 2. I have a son who is about to turn 2. I was thinking of how cute it would be to buy him a baby doll. I figured it may help him understand “this is a baby” and show him how we play and take care of a baby. It may work, may not, either way, I thought it may be cute to try regardless!
My husband was highly against. I was kinda shocked honestly. His reasoning was “it’s a girls toy, I don’t want my son to look girly”.
I felt like that was ridiculous. Anyone can take care of a baby, and play with one. Babies or baby dolls aren’t just for girls/women.
What are your thoughts? The poll question is pretty generic but I’m interested in seeing your thoughts.
