Is this safe?

Currently 6 months along.. ordered a crib that I love but it was only available in one color and I don’t like it. Is it safe for baby (when here & using) for the crib to be painted/spray painted now? 
Any suggestions would help.. only have this week to do so. Tia

Cant you wait for the color you want to be in stock? I personally wouldn’t feel comfortable painting or spray painting a crib. The paint they use on cribs is usually up to safety standards. You’d have to research to find what is safe. Once your baby can stand or starts teething I guarantee you they are going to chew on the crib. 
It’s up to you though.
