Will rent in California EVER go back down for apartments?

I’m just so depressed, I can’t stand living with my mom & her wife. Her wife is constantly in my business, tries to tell me how to raise my children, and I can’t mentally handle it
Me & my fiancée used do have an apartment and it was just to expensive 
Now I’m desperate to just get my own place for us and our children in general. To be independent but rent is just getting higher and higher, it’s worse than it was 2 years ago by far. 
So it’s to the point where we are stuck pretty much living with my mom until god knows when 
Will rent ever go down in southern California? Ever?

Did you consider moving to other states? South and North Carolina have really cheap rent. In fact, you can rent a whole house for less than the price of a small apartment in LA

Have you looked into moving to Nevada somewhere close? It doesn’t seem like rent is going down anytime soon here. Many natives have moved north to Washington/Oregon or to Texas, Arizona, and Nevada. You’d still be close enough to drive down for a weekend but wouldn’t have to deal with the high rent.

As someone in SOCAL looking fir an apartment, no lol it doesn’t get better and I can only see it going up. I’m planning to leave the state eventually

That would be amazing, but I don’t think it will happen. ;/ rent usually increases a certain  % every year...
Try to find a house to rent. Since houses don’t come with amenities they are cheaper.
