My son thought we were sending him back to Russia

Me and my ex have a son we adopted from Russia when he was a baby. He's nearly 17 now. One if my friend's wanted to adopt internationally and I printed off some stuff for her about adopting from Russia. My son saw it and I guess didn't read it enough because he came in my room crying asking if I was planning to send him back to Russia. Before I could say of course not baby he said while crying " Plz don't send me away. I've been spoiled my whole life! I wouldn't survive in Russia!" I know he was upset and crying, but I couldn't help but laugh😂. I gave him a hug and he knows me and his dad aren't sending him away.
