How often do you change your baby's diaper?

Our baby is now 9 weeks and he went from having poo diapers all the time, to two or three per day. Do you change it every feed-play-sleep cycle even if it's not too full?

I change it after each feed (every 3 hours) as it’s usually pretty wet by then. Occasionally I’ll change it another time if for some reason it’s really wet or of course dirty. He has a dirty diaper once every few days. Often after his longest stretch of sleep overnight it’s still fully dry and of course in that case I won’t change it.

You should change your babies diaper when it’s soiled otherwise you are likely going to end up with a diaper rash at some point. Best to just change it when it’s wet or poopy sometimes for me that means changing it three times in an hour And then she’ll go a couple hours dry.￼

Depends. What size diapers are being used. Smaller diapers hold less. I change after every noticed poo. And every 4 hours I would guess. Daycares usually change every 2 hours, unless the kid is actively sleeping.

I changed my son at least every 2 hours. He goes to daycare and there it's policy that he's change every hour if wet.

we change after nap (before bottle) and usually check before next nap time if it need changing.. so anything between 5-9 nappy changes a day
