Best age gap for siblings

My husband and I have a gorgeous 5 mo old and for sure want another little one, but idk when to start trying again.

It took us about a year to conceive her, so we have been having conversations about when we would want to try again. We would love our kids to be around 2 years apart so we talked about starting to try around her 1st birthday, but then I get nervous - what if we get pregnant right away? What if it takes us another year or longer?
