Not sure if this is a matter of emailing support but but figured I'd try the tech support, first as it would be against the rules to post this in controversy corner or elsewhere really. So the past few months, I have been questioning the mute feature, specifically in regards to controversy corner. Seems like that feature is easily abused. When someone doesn't like what you have to say, they mute you and so their entire comment goes away. I feel like that takes away from the point of the group. To have discussions. I think it's contradictory to have a group dedicated to having open and honest discussion and standing by your words, when someone who doesn't like what you have to say has the power to completely eliminate your ability to comment further on the matter. The person who muted you can easily talk badly about you, and defend themselves, meanwhile you don't even have the chance to defend your views. In my opinion, this easily creates an echo chamber. If they dont want to see my comments and don't want me to see theirs under their comment then that's fine, but we should be able able engage with others in the community within that comment. I believe it used to be like this. I hope admins read this and can understand where I'm coming from and consider making minor changes to this. Or explain why they have it this way. It would be greatly appreciated and it's definitely been affecting my experience in the group and possibly others as well.
