Diaper pails ?

Is it Worth it or just hype? Would a tall trash can be more efficient?

Not worth it at all. We had diaper genie, ubbi, and like 2 others and all of them were terrible. Even if we used the regular trash bags.

I have heard from many people that the ubbi diaper pail is worth it unless you want to take out the diapers every day.

I got a diaper genie for $5 at a garage sale and it kept the smell at bay tremendously.

It was worth it for us in the newborn stage. We can't use it after solids start because the level of stink cannot be contained lol. So around 6 months we start doggy bags and walking the poop diapers outside. It is still useful for pee diapers though, but we take our kitchen trash out daily, so pee diapers usually go there over a diaper pail.

We had a diaper genie and honestly it was just one more thing to have to remember lol. We just use the trash can and take it out daily.

I’ve had a bunch of people tell me the diaper genie isn’t worth it, but I had a couple people recommend the dekor brand pail. We used just a regular trash can for my daughter and it always stunk so bad. Just one stinky diaper would stink up the whole house. With the new baby we got the dekor and so far it’s been good at keeping the stink away from my toddlers diapers. We’ll see how we do with two kids diapers

We got a diaper genie at out baby shower and it has been great. 2 years of use and doesn't smell and big plus is.it keeps our giant ass dogs from getting into the garbage. 2 of our dogs try to go after diapers and a regular trashcan is easier so the dialer genie has been great for us. I find it useful enough we bought a 2nd diaper pail for baby due due here in a few weeks

Nope. I hated it. We just use a trash can and take the trash out once or twice a week.
