When are you telling your other children about new baby?

I have a 12 year old and 5 year old and I just found out I was pregnant a few days ago but I haven’t told them yet. When do you guys share the news with the kids?

I have 4 children this one would b #5. I would probably tell them after my first ultrasound which would be around 6 weeks.

Unless nausea makes it unavoidable, we’ll be waiting until 12 weeks. Our last pregnancy (2019) was a loss and we accidentally took them to the appt thinking everything would be normal, so then we had to explain miscarriage to a 2 & 4 year old. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
