Did anyone breastfeed baby colostrum and then switch to formula?

I formula fed my first baby from day one and plan to formula feed my second. 
Just curious to hear if anyone breastfed their baby the colostrum and then switched to formula after a couple of days or whether you straight away gave formula (I did this with my first).

I didn't, but I know people who have and their kids are just fine. Colostrum is the most important! And even then some parents choose to do formula right from the get go. It's every mother's personal decision.

I tried to breastfeed my 1st but he was struggling to latch and drink anything, even with a bottle. I ended up bf and formula feeding for the 1st week or so but mainly bottle feeding. Eventually I stopped bf completely just because it was easier to formula feed. 
Even if you don't want to breastfeed, you can still give baby your colostrum and then formula feed. Colostrum has so many benefits to it so if that's all you would like to give then that's fine too. Or you can just go straight to formula feeding. That's ok too! Whatever is works and is best for you.
